Welcome to the TTS 2.0 project


TTS 2.0 is three-year R&D program being conducted by the University of Toronto Transportation Research Institute (UTTRI) starting in 2015 with the goal of developing the next generation of travel survey methods for operational use in the Greater Golden Horseshoe by the year 2021.

The project is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, Metrolinx, TTC, and municipalities in the GGH (a full list can be found here).

TTS 2.0 strives to identify and develop the next generation of data collection methods for the GGH, with an emphasis on cost-effectiveness, the collection of high-quality data, and addressing the weaknesses of the current TTS.
